This is a plain-English summary, not the final legal document. Passkot is pre-launch. A full set of terms and a DPDP-compliant privacy notice are being prepared with professional advice and will replace this page before payments go live.

What Passkot is

Passkot is a marketplace. It introduces people planning to study, work or trade abroad to people who already live in those countries, and handles the scheduling, the call and the payment between them.

What Passkot is not

Passkot is not an immigration consultancy, a law firm, a recruitment agency or a financial adviser, and neither are the people listed on it. They share their own personal experience. They do not file applications, do not represent you before any authority, and cannot guarantee an admission, a job, a visa or any other outcome. Nothing said on a call is immigration, legal, tax or financial advice. For anything that requires a licensed professional, engage one.

Passkot does not receive commission, referral fees or any other payment from universities, colleges, employers, agents or recruiters, and does not sell placement in its search results.

What you can expect from us

  • Every person listed is reviewed by a human being before they appear, and their profile states exactly what we verified.
  • Prices are shown before you commit. Per-minute calls open with a free 30-second window and are then billed in 10-second blocks.
  • You get an itemised receipt after every call and 24 hours to raise a problem with it.
  • Fixed-price sessions are refunded in full if the other person does not turn up.

What we expect from you

  • Be who you say you are, and be civil on calls. Harassment gets an account removed.
  • Do not ask people to do anything that requires a licence, and do not treat what they say as professional advice.
  • Keep conversations on the platform. It is what lets us protect the payment and step in if something goes wrong.
  • You must be 18 or over to hold an account.

What we collect

Right now, this site collects only what you type into a form: your name, email address, and the destination or details relevant to your request. That is it. We do not collect payment details anywhere on this site, because payments are not live. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.

When people are listed as experts we will additionally hold the verification documents they send us, stored encrypted and accessible only to the small number of people who review them.

What we do with it

We use your details for the single purpose you gave them for — telling you when your destination opens, arranging a session, or reviewing your application. We do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email hello@passkot.com and we will action it. There is no form to fill in and no reason you need to give.

Security

We will never ask you for a password, a card number, a UPI ID or an OTP by email, on a call, or through any form on this site. If something claiming to be Passkot does, it is not us — please tell us.
